good stuff

great balance, everything can be heard and at a comfortable volume too, great job with the keys, very cool chords there, the bass was the only thing that sounded a little cheesy, but doesn't take away from the song much, drums were nicely done

good job

10-5

groovatron responds:

thanks and i just wanted to make the bass a little more interesting =).

japan house?

sounds like some cool japan pseudo-house track, my only complaint is that the bass starts to get pretty distorted around 1:15, and at higher-volume becomes unaudible (the song's bass)
my advice: tone down on the distortion some, keep it but scarcely, so its like a spice
cool shamisen riffs there though

8/10 for distortion and some cool house chords
3/5

liger-030 responds:

thanks for pointing this out, i'll fix it soon.

been to tha dogg pound?

sounds a lot like something out of the '90s in California, the chronic-lead is what does it for me, original track for the most part, the bell/worm lead is a little overdone on some parts, but not to a really bad point

good instrumental, but could use some rapping/lyrics/scratching

9/10 for the old school style
5/5

protcentA responds:

thanks ya,california fo sohu ;)

cool melody

but the drums kill it over, and over trough the song, if you bring down the volume on them or lessen their "abundance" on the track, it would be good, the drums are also out of sync with the counter-melody

BowserThedestructive responds:

drums ya they do kill it..but it sounded cool to me for awhile in V3 ill have no drums or alittle bit of drums but lowerd in volume and a "MAIN TUNE" of the song take over

good arrangement

this wouldn't be too bad orchestrated, its good for a midi-draft though
the chord progression in the bg is good, sounds like credits for a Capcom game,
only thing, the percussion feels a little strong the whole way trough the song, i.e. some dynamics wouldn't hurt

9/10
4/5

awesome

this is what trance should sound like, the drums are powerful but don't overwhelm the synth, good variation with the melody and strong bass, not much more to say, good job!

havent heard the original...

but this sounds just fine, cool use of bells, the drums are pretty good, retro snare is a nice touch, overall felt 80s (not a bad thing) with the synth/snare parts

10-5 on this one

agreed vvv a techno remix wouldnt be too bad, good job!

well balanced

the sounds (unlike some others here on ng) are well balanced, i.e. the bells don't kill the synth with high-freq, well done for a demo, 9/10 for the lenght though, sorry, but if your final is like this with some bass, its a def. 10-10

9/10 for lenght
5/5 for balance/mix

Saxturbation responds:

Yeah my final will have some bass and it took FOREVER to balance the sounds just like I wanted.

good guitar

the guitar playing was great the whole song, just needed some drums, woulda made this track epic really, wouldave loved some more pitch bend on the highest parts, squeels

9/10
5/5

CompleteSilence responds:

Thanks! Ya... I should have used the drum machine on my pedal. And pitch squeals hmmm... a good idea!

good trance

good trance, the bass and drum were overpowered by the synth a bit, nice break at 102-103, really thats my only complaint, the rest was very nicely done

9-10
5-5 for the awesome break
